It started about a week ago, I decided I needed to get Collins pictures taken. Well, since you get 6 poses at Kiddie Kandids I thought I might as well get Brady in on it as well. That led to me cutting Brady's hair on Tuesday, which didn't turn out too well ( I am blaming it on pressure from Kerri watching lol, j/k) so I had my neighbor who does hair fix it yesterday. With that all fixed I asked my mom if she would come with me and help today, all of you that know Brady will understand why I need help venturing out of my house! When we get to the mall it is 12:45 and since you can't make appt. at Kiddie Kandids (dumbest thing ever), we got to wait an hour trying to keep my kids looking perfect and being happy. By the time we got in Collin was not in a good mood and it was past Brady's naptime... the lady doing the pictures starts moving some machine on the ceiling and Brady starts freaking out thinking something bad is happening and hence being the most difficult child ever to get to cooperate for picture. I tried every bribe I could think of; Chuckie Cheese, swimming, ice cream, going to "white" grandma, nothing worked. So, we finally got him to smile while wearing the full "Bob the Builder" costume that they had. Just what I wanted. Collins pictures all look like he is trying to poop because he was half crying in them all. We didn't even get to veiw them because there were only two people working and they we too busy, nice huh...
Well, by the time we left Brady was freaking out and yelling all the way out to the car. My mom bought him some candy, which he was chewing up and spitting out on the ground throughout the whole mall. Collin is half naked from outfit changes and sitting in the front of the stroller looking like white trash. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I had lost the one button in Kiddie Kandids that held my sweater together, so now I matched in the white trash area, along with my pants that were way too tight. Finally we reach the car and I am throwing my children in and all my crap, just so happy to get out of there. Well, as I am backing up I thought I felt a small bump and I said to my mom " did I just hit something", she says "no, I didn't feel anything". So, I drive through the parking lot, getting flipped off by some girl who cuts ME off. Just made me laugh, couldn't get worse...right???
Fast forward to 9:30 pm tonight...Knock, Knock, Knock. I am thinking "who is knocking on my door that loud this late". I look out the window and I see a lovely Orem Police Officer. Opening the door I couldn't think of why he was here, maybe something to do with one of my neighbors. That thought quickly changed as he asked "are you Alisha Thompson and do you have a ivory Escalade"? Heart sinks to toes. He then explains that someone saw me bump a car in the parking lot. "I really didn't know that I hit someones car or I would have never left without a note" I told him. He made me open my garage and there was nothing on my car. He said that the other ladies car had the smallest little scratch and that he was sure I wasn't trying to do a hit and run type of thing. I am sure I will now get to pay for her stupid bumper. All I can say is I don't think I will be getting pictures for a long time. :)

Oh Alisha that is all HILARIOUS!! (except for the part that you will have to fix the lady's bumper). I thought things like this only happened to Kerri and Robert! Too bad it wasn't video taped, it be a great "Funniest Home Video". Well, at least the pictures turned out, I think they are soooo cute! No one would ever know what a character Brady is by looking at his sweet little innocent face. You are a "great" mom! After hearing all this, do I really have to babysit Brady tonight?? (Just kidding!!)
I am sooooo sorry!! Your days sounded terrible! BUT, those pics turned out SO cute! Your babies are adorable!
Are we related or something or to crazy things like this happen to normal people??? I swear that Kiddie Kandeds is really what a parents hell is going to be like. Where do I start with my favorite things about kiddie? Is it the unorganized way it runs from no appointments to where are my pictures now that I have waited 3 hours or employee's that get high off watching parents sweat while their children are turning into monsters while they wait. It could be the dirty blanket that has been there for 15 years and every kind of sickness waiting to attach onto your baby as they ask you to lay your baby face down on it, and no matter if you brought an army of nannies with you to help you officially have 3 more gray hairs and you want to go home and sleep for days. Now the run in with the law sounds like an extra bonus. I am so sorry you had that day but all in all your kids look so cute. Next time call me and I'll meet you in a park and we'll take picture there and make it fun!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLES LIVES COME UNRAVELED LIKE MINE ALWAYS DOES!:)
I was laughing the whole way through. What a great way to start my day!
Seriously that was too funny!! Only because it wasn't me:) That sucks about the bumper though!
Only you.
Well that is a long and sad story. I can't imagine a day like that, but you did get through it. On a good note I love the way your kids pictures turned out.
WOW!! The definitely wins the worst day of the year award. Good thing winter is coming, so you don't have to even try to get out.
All the misery was worth it from my standpoint! P.S. I love your girls dresses in your blog banner picture. Way, way cute!
"Pretty cute"???? No--Extremely cute!
