Well, it all started with going to spin with my friend Sarah on monday. She told me that my other friend, Ashley, was training to do a sprint triathlon and told me what it was. So, later that night I was online researching them and found one in Bear Lake in september. So, I called Sarah and told her we should do it and she was all for it. It seemed like 4 months to train would for sure be enough...that is until we went for our first swim tonight. lol. Lets just say that the first lap down the pool kicked my butt! Plus, we had our new swim caps on and goggles looking like we were all hard core and we couldn't even make it down and back, so I am sure we looked like complete idiots. Oh, Sarah the things I get myself into with you. The last thing I would like to do is drown in Bear Lake this summer, so we signed up for an adult swim class and if that doesn't help than who knows what will happen. I really have a new respect for the sport of swimming now if anything. I wish it was just the biking and the running and no swimming.
Other than that not too much happening in the Thompson's life. Brady turns 2 on Saturday so I will post some pictures of that soon. He also gets his cast off tomorrow, which seems to have gone by way too fast. I can't believe how life flies by with a new baby in the house. I just feel busy all the time with something...time for a vacation is what I am thinking:)

Wow! I really can't believe how ambitious you are. That is great. Dave always said that swimming was hard but that it will get you into the best shape in your life. I can't believe Brady will be two! Let's get together when you have a moment to escape and you aren't training.
you have gotten yourself into the BEST experience of your life!!:)
Lots of crazy memories we are making lish, i can't wait to keep goin' strong...you rock!
Alisha, Sarah told me you guys are doing a triathlon too!! That will be fun for you guys to train together. I know when I did my first lap in the pool I was dying myself, but now it's so much better. I still have a lot of work to do but I will hopefully get there soon. Good luck, you guys will do great.
